So... uh... when do OA'ers arrive again?

werd. i see, i see. hava-ee. i am a hava-eean. where r you from? i am from hava-ee. why can't u just say hawaii like normal people? because it's pronounced hava-ee. oh. in your face. you win.

i saw lilo and stitch.

no, you can't be a hava-eean. You're just "hawaiian." If you say havaee-an you look like an idiot. It's weird.

I STILL haven't seen Lilo and Stitch.

...Aaand I think we're the only ones awake. Maybe switch to PM?

let's see if i can get it to work. did you receive anything? or did i send it to myself?

Aww you non-continental US people. :p

we purposefully left you guys out. mwahaha, the revenge of the non-lower-48-ers.

Damn, we even managed to get a thread locked. Um, hooray?

Sooo...has anyone started packing yet? Did anyone get all their OA stuff yet?

And mainland weather scares me. If you look for me at OA, I'll be the only girl wearing a parka in 65 degree weather.

What are you going to do when it's 20 degrees??
I hate the winter, even though I've always lived in 4-seasons places.

And does "non-lower-48" even apply to chichi, if everything is upper from her standpoint...?

Oh, in 20 degree weather I'll cease being human and just turn into a giant pile of coats, sweaters, and hats.

LOL. I like fall and spring...

Me too. The weather in new york has been quite nice lately. Sunny, slightly windy and not at all humid.

Oh...I HATE humid weather. My hs didn't have air conditioning and the ventilation was horrible, and only 40 percent of the teachers had fans, so everytime it was humid, it was horrible inside that building.

I had a similar experience. Only half the classrooms had A/C (though the hallways were all outdoors). Imagine my joy when my gym class was immediately followed by the warmest, most humid classroom in the entire school.

The heat/ac system in my school was really tempermental. Each room would be different and some were SO cold.

Outdoor hallways! How cool (or rather, hot I guess...)

Ew. My gym wasn't air conditioned, and my cafeteria was barely air conditioned. My favorite part was that the AUDITORIUM that no one ever used during the day was constantly air conditioned. The guidance department was also freezing, so at the end of senior year, my friend and I would go "visit" our guidance counselor and have nice, long talks.

I visited my guidance counselors' secretary because she always had candy...

lol, I myself did "research" in the cold, cold computer labs.

we go running outside in tee's and shorts... at 15-25 degrees. seriously, once u work up a sweat, it's soooo niceeeeeeee......

North Face = God's gift to mankind

I just flew Northwest and had no problems/delays... hopefully it will stay that way for you (and anyone else flying Northwest) :-)

Macadamia nuts and many other tasty-but-natural things can be found at Wild Oats on the far end of Nassau (just past Olden St) if not at the U-Store/Wa.

Thanks for alleviating some of my worries!

airplane crashes would be fun if you didn't die.... it's like a long long roller coaster ride. Wheeeee!
