I faxed a letter to UF saying I wasn't going there, and all sorts of other stuff..

But I'm still in the system. I think they think I should be attending classes. I cancelled my housing. I think they think I'm living off campus and what not.

Everything is good at my new college, bright futures/prepaid got transferred fine... but nothing too bad can come out of this, can it? They'll eventually get the picture. I have no plans of UF for graduate school or anything...

I don't know, just tell me what you think I should do, haha.

I am curious -- where did you end up going?

I'm at Rollins. I visited UF a little over the summer and just wasn't digging it at all. I never wanted to go to a big university and decided on UF because 50 or so kids from my school ended up going there. I'm a lot happier here, I fit in a lot better. I love the smaller classes and liberal arts curriculum. Not hating on UF, just wasn't for me at all. With the scholarships and what not I'm paying just a little bit more to go to a school that I fit in at a lot more... so I think it's worth it.

For the wondering, this has ended up biting me in the ass.

UF never withdrew me (they didn't feel the need to tell my mother that the letter she faxed wouldn't withdraw me, and that I would have to call the office to do a phone withdrawal...). So my bright futures money ended up going there, as did my national merit. Now they even want me to pay for this semester's tuition even though I've never been to a class. We're petitioning against everything. We'll see what happens.
