February will be a long month, and time can’t be passing slowly enough. I’ve been completely lazy and can’t find the energy to put myself strictly to work. It’s like I’m in hibernation right now.

Oh well, it will all be over soon enough and we’ll have a lot to look forward to in the upcoming months. What are all of you guys doing to pass the time?

I watched 7 episodes of The Sopranos on DVD this weekend to pass the time.
Does anyone else like that show? I think it's just about the coolest thing ever.

I'm CCing a lot, chilling, watching TV, eating... all that good stuff. I'm also getting more involved in extracurricular activities at my school, since being a 2nd semester senior does free up a lot of time. And I'll do anything I can do get my mind off of Brown. :)

I've been reading weird bits of literature and procrastinating. It seems like I want to learn everything except what's being taught at school. Learning loses its fun when you're constantly being evaluated and forced to know specific information for a test. Physics is the worst! That subject has no relevance to anything; it's just bunch of formulas. What difference does it make whether the torque in this pully is 3.45 N or 7.45 N?

I'm getting sick of high school in general, and I bet a lot of you are, too. I'm sick of people being easily offended and taking trivial things seriously. I'm sick of people taking themselves seriously. I'm sick of people being insincere and affected. But, whatever, I've complained enough. It will all be over soon :).

Applied Math is my first choice. But I also like psych, and neuroscience and creative writing, and, god, there are so many wonderful subjects. I think I might take the classes that interest me, and then make up a major to describe them. A friend of my sister's majored in "Love." How about you? What might you major in?

Hmm, I'm catching up on my oldies music ... you know, Hanson (hey! don't knock it ... there's something comforting about going back to a band that I liked in fourth grade) ... and the classics - john denver, john lennon, moody blues, david bowie (<3), etc etc

And of course, I'm catching up on reading. I've collected piles of books to read and haven't touched them b/c of college apps and stress ... i've gotten about five out of the way this past week ... oh! and i finally caught up on my anime watching. heh.

is it just me ... or are teachers letting up on work? It seems everyone has slowed down. Like in AP Eng, she gave my group two plays to read (antigone and tartuffe) in two weeks with only one paper and one presentation at the end of two weeks ... um, this is a little different compared to my ap eng teacher's "prose/poetry/research paper boot camp" (she calls it that) where we had four papers a week. .. I could have used this break prior to january thank you very much...

all well, more time to listen to my soulmates john denver (country road, take me home ...) and david bowie (ch-ch-ch-ch-changes!!). ;)

I'm a huge fan of Hanson...I put that mmmbop was my favorite song in my bio next to my senior picture :) Yay for young cute blond guys, only one of whom is married!

During the next few months I'm doing stuff that I've always wanted to do: taking drawing classes and loving it, reading books that I haven't had time to read, etc. Enjoying life I guess...

Wow, catching up on books? Damn, I guess I'm not like the traditional Brown hopeful. I've been spending my time online with Halo 2 and just chilling with friends. No academic stuff happening when I'm not forced to do it.

Oh well, I don't think I'm an underachiever but comparing myself to all of you guys it makes it seem like that.

RaboKarabekian - what's your fav John Denver song?

asterstar - finally another Hanson fan ... everyone I know gave up on them in sixth grade. psh, they don't know what they're missing

megathunder - ok, so i cheated ... i don't think my "five" books counts as five - two were of this series that i've been reading since like sixth or seventh grade (it's called Replica)), one was of the new Fruits Basket manga, one was Freedom Evolves, and the last one was a book by Robert Thurman ... so really, only two real books ... unless you count anime and teen series. although, i have also started a new game on Kingdom Hearts (gotta love that game) even though it can get boring after winning it like 20 times. heh
