I'm ****ed the Brown Book Store doesn't sell decals online. If I had known, I'd have bought one in October when I visited, dammit.

I wouldn't have. I was considering about seven other colleges at the time.

But, yes, I wish I had some (I don't know why--I wouldn't ever use them).

Which other colleges were you considering?

I visited Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Harvard, Amherst, and Vassar for variety. Brown was, naturally, my favorite :)

I was considering others as well, though.

My other choices were Wesleyan, Harvard, Columbia, MIT and UChicago.

If I hadn't gotten in ED, I was going to apply to Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Tufts, Wesleyan, Pitt, Penn State, and University of Delaware.

I applied to Berkeley as a safety. I am so glad I don't have to go!

lol, berkeley as a safety, I like small schools though

Yeah, I'm finally gonna try to sleep. Goodnight, guys!

Goodnight :)

It's funny because Berkeley is the school everyone wants to get into at my high school, and it would have been pretty easy for me to get in.

hhmm i dont have anything really good to contribute,

but, if i hadn't gotten in ED i was going to apply to Cornell, Reed, Northwestern, Dartmouth, Univ. of FL (safety), Pomona, and WUSTL

but good thing I got in cause I didn't have ANY other apps done to that point (including essays, and recs lol)

I didn't have any done either.

On a somewhat unrelated note, I don't understand why Brown has the reputation of being a second-choice ivy.

It's all those dratted pot-smoking PC hippies. They don't seem serious enough, I guess. Plus, it has fallen in national rankings in recent years, for various reasons. Only now is it starting to make up lost ground.

I feel like I am getting sick :(

Those ratings are crap, anyway. Brown loses points on US News because it doesn't have a large graduate program, it doesn't have a core curriculum and it (supposedly)has looser admissions standards regarding standardized tests.

I know, the rating are prety worthless. They must be, because last year Cornell was ranked above Brown ;)

It's all pretty subjective, I guess.

My other choices were Yale, Stanford, and UMichigan.

i hate ratings. they're ridiculously flawed and subjective.

i also applied to johns hopkins, cornell, wellesley, tufts, wesleyan, michigan and rutgers. i'm lucky i got in ed, though, because i was so far behind on my applications.

I was going to apply to columbia, dartmouth, mit, nyu, and northeastern. good thing I got into Brown :)

Bah, you guys are terrible. Still have to wait for my decision :(....
