So, I figured since incoming Sophomores and incoming Seniors had their own threads, why not incoming Juniors? :)

But really, when did we become Juniors? It all happened way too soon. Now we have to worry about the SAT I, SAT II, ACT, AP courses, Honor courses, Advanced courses, treating teachers right for college recs, keeping our grades up, and above all that school-related stress we have everything outside of school - friendships, relationships, peer pressure, sex, drugs, etc. Don't you miss the times when all you had to worry about was what time naptime began?

(I'm not promoting either of these).

We are halfway through high school :D

I am extremely excited. College is going to be so much fun.

Lets examine schedules:

AP Chemistry
Honors Mathematical Analysis
Honors US History 2
AP Statistics
Honors English 3
AP Computer Science

I’m expecting a 5 in stats and compsci. I am going to work hard for the 5 in chemistry.

-------------------------------what colleges do you guys want to go to?----------------------

Im looking into:

carnegie mellon (first choice)
harvey mudd (second choice, might ED here)
columbia engineering (legacy so might ED to increase odds)
NYU-Poly (im into computer security and they have crazy programs here. plus i already have connections and potential job offers in the city)
Rose-Hulman (easy to get into, small… not sure if i definitely want to go here. its a bit small. id prefer the city)
Olin College of Engineering (hard to get into, would be fun, campus a bit small but students are happy)
MIT (definitely hard to get into, probably wont get in, dream school)

4 APs, hopefully all 5s. Physics B will be crazy to study for, I have no idea how I’ll make out.

YUSHHH, I can’t wait for college :D

Let’s see:

AP Spanish Language
AP Art History
AP US History
AP Physics B (maybe)
Pre-Calc (maybe honor)
American Literature

And I’m looking at the following schools:

Columbia
Dartmouth
Cornell
Johns Hopkins
Northwestern
NYU

As you can see, I REALLY need to narrow it down and add some more safeties :)

heh im assuming you’re not majoring in engineering :P

me? Oh god, no way. I’m leaning towards either i-banking or something else business-related or pre-med. Still not completely sure, but I am 100% sure I want to go to Brown I’ve wanted to go to Brown ever since I was 10, but my passion kind of died down when I visited Columbia last year…but I’m proud to say that my passion revived :D

Welcome to the worst year of your life. Good thing I’m going to be a freshman…IN COLLEGE BABY.

^ what do you mean worst? I mean, I heard that it’s definitely the most challenging…but worst? :(

lol Worst year of my life? I heard the transition from hs to college is rough as well. =)

AP US History
AP Calculus AB
Art (jealous at everyone who has AP Art History at their school)
AP Physics B?
AP Chemistry
Honors English

“Don’t you miss the times when all you had to worry about was what time naptime began?”

This is why the college board needs to add AP Sleep.
