What are my chances at MIT? What can I improve in the next year or so to help my chances? Any feedback would be appreciated! Thanks!

You're really strong in math, I'm jealous.
I wish I could get a 5 on my AP calc test =[
I couldn't get out of AIME either, haha..good job.

I know a kid who got into MIT, basically you need to show that you have a strong desire to be an engineer. Your scores are way better than his.

You have a shot but MIT is really selective.

Your stats are actually quite similar to mine. I think that you have a good shot at MIT because of your strong math background. Does anybody else feel that the GPA is of some concern? (My GPA is 3.86, and people have said that it is a bit on the low end). Overall, I'd say taht you are a fine candidate though

My GPA was a bit "on the low end" as well. Didn't stop me from getting in. Don't worry about your numbers... 0% of MIT students are accepted because of their grades/scores.

Do what you love. Do it a lot, and with fervor, because you love it. That is your best way to get closer to MIT.

Well i love doing math, and i really have never had any math teachers who have taught me problem solving (my parents never taught me anything after mathcounts). I actually feel kinda sad that high school math competitions are about to end (i love competitions, cuz you get to see how you measure up against the very best). I'm going to ARML this summer (not that this is exactlya huge application booster, it's more for fun :)). But does anyone have any suggestions as to how to brush up my app a bit before i submit it (other than write good essays, I'm working on those over the summer).

Ok, and what are my chances at these other schools as well:
