So what are my chances? haha

My first choice for a college is NYU and i have a 1360 SAT (700 V 660 M). I am a Korean and plan on taking Korean SAT II and writing. I got to retake math 1c because i didnt do so well...(630). I transferred school to school because of personal reasons and i didn't do so well in that old school. I had probably a cumulative average of 83-84 since i left in the 2nd semester (two semesters in a year) of my sophomore year. Now in my new school I get grades of like 93-94 (approximation) cumulative average starting from sophomore 2nd year-junior. I just got my 1st report card back from senior year and got a 91.4.
I was just wondering...what my chances were because i am afraid that my old school gpa would negatively affect my chances drastically. I'm planning on applying to NYU regular decision to CAS.

aaaaaah! help! bump

chances are slim. NYU is a top-of-the-line school. Then again, I know not of your situation, which if the "personal reasons" meant some huge conflict, it could serve as an excuse for your low GPA. However, I don't discourage from applying. I wish you the best of luck.

ZZ3

P.S. please evaluate my chances if you have time.

Your SAT puts you right in the average range of accepted students. So you might have a shot, but its not that big of a shot.

Clearly your grades are outstanding and puts you right up there with the best students in the nation. While NYU's a very selective school, I would say that you can put it as your safety. The only question remains: will they give you full scholarship?
