So, what are my chances?

So, I'm looking to apply to SUNY Geneseo, early decision. Just trying to get an idea of what my chances are....

I have a 92.9 unweighted GPA, 95.6 weighted (sorry, only have it in % form)
My SAT scores are: 570 CR, 690 M, 640 W.
My ACT comp. is a 26 (I believe my SAT scores are better).
My rank is 11 out of 91.
My list of extra-curriculars includes: Vice President of my school's community service organization, head of a few programs in it, Founder and president of a Habitat for Humanity chapter in my school (not yet, still finalizing that), Member of National Honor Society, Yearbook club, a few others.
I am a male. Considering the ratio 41/59 in favor of females, this may factor in.
I would most likely be going pre-law.

So, what are my chances, assuming I go early decision? What are they if I apply normally?

Also, any other reccomendations of other schools that match up well with me, either in: law, computer engineering or architecture?

Thanks in advance,

Mike.

New York resident, by the way...went to a small public school.

Come on...any opinions?

I think you have a good shot, early decision. The only weakness I can see is your test scores, but I think everything else will work for you and make up for your lower scores. Especially if you apply Early Decision.

i'd be surprised if you didnt get in

Geneseo is getting very selective. Look it up under colleges. There are a couple of chances threads there.

You are right on the edge. If your Verbal was over 600 your chances would be much better.
The 2006-2007 Common Data Set is an important resource. Guys were accepted at a 42% rate, gals 40%. Not much help for you there.
Early Decision applicants were accepted at a 47-48% rate. Not a huge advantage for applying early.
If I had to guess, you'll get in. But it is very close.
