So what are the latest admission statistics for undergrad freshmen?

The year I was accepted (2008), I remember College Board saying it was around 65%, so just a little under two thirds. Then President Mark Emmert said during the picnic that they accepted a fourth of all the applicants, which is way off. Now College Board says 58%. Is the number getting lower and lower every year? It would make sense that it is getting lower, but what's the exact number now?

That “fourth of all applicants” probably is a yield number, as probably only a quarter of students in the pool end up attending.

~60% acceptance
~60% yield (numbers pulled out of my ass)

so 36% of everyone who applies attends.

That 25% acceptance Emmert is spewing out is just misleading; EVERYONE gets into UW haha
