So what are YOU doing in your APs classes now?

hahaha... this is unfair...

cs: creating an mmorpg
english: writing a term-paper on a book of our choice of literary merit
econ: final project on the economy of a given country
german: movies!! yeah!!!!!!

gov't: nothing
english: writing an autobiography, probably watching movies
physics: doing some stupid lab at cedar point, movies
calc: parallel AP test (this year's FRQ's w/ different numbers), calcfest -- we choose an equation and apply EVERYTHING weve learned this year to it... derivatives, riemann sums, volumes of revolution, etc.

haha you guys are lucky.. my school does block scheduling so we have 4 classes a day and our classes only last like half a year or a quarter of a year or in the case of APs, 3 quarters. So I had AP finals back in the first week of April, which is why studying for them outside of school has been a pain!

ap french = watching french movies woooo

ap english= watching a ****ty 90's made for tv movie on mobydick, when they take footage from the discovery channel and splice it with the film to show the "whale footage." good times. then were doing college essay writing blahh cause were all juniors

ap bio = doing funny labs. like getting samples of the bacteria in all the diff parts of our school ike on bathroom door handles and stuff to see how clean the school reallllllllly is. also lots of fieldtrips to "observe" seagull behavior (go to the beach) and the aquarium and sci museum etc. relatively chill

ap ushistory = current events class/watching all the presidents men

lol then i only have debate (season over aka chillaxing), an independent science reseearch class(more of the same not doing anything), and like honors pre calc. school is virtually over for me, even tho i dont get out till june 19th <EW

we're playing kickball and soccer!

Ugh, I would NOT want to know if I got the wrong answers on my AP Calc exam.....that would just ruin my summer.

AP Calculus AB - Washington Post Word Puzzle....

AP Eng- Reading Glass Menagerie... then i wondered why we didn't read this before the AP test...;;;; We also watched Rebecca before and after the Eng Lit test. I think she was trying to make us not as freaked out.

AP Bio- AP schedule is titled "Whatever." Teacher was gone on the day of the test and on the board she wrote 4th hour AP- Whatever.. and 6th hour AP- Look above. ^_^;; We'll be doing "biology for fun!" though

AP Studio Art- We'll be having a final in there where we represent and talk about our works. Its quite annoying actually.. it takes all night and we must prepare for the thing... ANNOYING.

AP Environmental Science- Going down to our school's wetland (we actually constructed and created this thing for this class... apprantly cost our school alot of money) and doing some experiments and whatnot down there...

AP Government- We have a real final in here.. DON'T ASK ME WHY.. We already took the mock and most teachers usually take that as a final (she will if you blow your final) but oh well.

OH our school district now has this screwy thing where they force AP teachers to continue on teaching post AP's... They want the teachers to turn in things regarding things they'll teach... Our AP physics teacher apprantly turned in this paper claiming they'll learn Quantum blah blah blah long name physics because he was actually kind of ****ed off.

Well in MY AP calc ab, my teacher is teaching us bc for the remainder of the year :(. The dedicated teachers get you 5s, yet also make you continue working your ass off post-aps. MAN!

One of the other calc ab teachers is having them do 20 minutes of bc each day, and 40 minutes of movies.

US- Historical movies and a film journal on them
Calc- Multivariable Calculus!
Lang- Reading books in prep for Lit and dong a video final project in groups
Physcs- Going to continue lessons, but they wont really be too structured and should be a lot more fun
Human Geo- Movies and I think we are creating a nation for the final project.

US History- watched Good night, good luck... quiz on it, still think we have a test on truman through nixon era

Bio- watched Green Mile while listening to our teacher make comments about how edgecomb's (played by hanks) excretory system sucks

watching movies, playing cards, and pretty much doing nothing!!!! best part of the year woot.

well, after thursday(econ), that is...

Seniors last day was 2 weeks ago :)

"reviewing for finals" which basically means chillin' and socializing

AP US: we are currently watching some West Virginia coal mine unionization movie called Matewan; so basically I just do hw for other classes or play games on my laptop; later we will just discuss current event topics and take naps
AP Spanish Lang: watch movies; write an essay on them later

AP US history: we have started our "history through video series." for example, today we began Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, we're thinking ferris bueller sometime next week (we do have to write a short paragraph connecting each movie to history)

AP English (comp): we read The Glass Menagerie and we are writing a two page paper on it (b/c we never did a term paper)

AP Latin (Vergil): the darn test hasn't even come yet! it's actually on the last full day for seniors

i know that AP Euro is enjoying rugby, and AP French is making music videos

APUSH and english exams were weeks ago, latin the AP test is the exam

Chem: Upcoming final
Bio: Piggy Disection
Micro: Two weeks of party then a project
Calc: Two more quizzes and a major project

Not too relaxing, but not bad.

AP Physics: learning electricity and magnetism (WOO HOO!)
Calculus: not done, two more tests, final not until June, very chilled out all the time anyway
AP Government: MovieFest 2006
AP Literature: Absolutely nothing right now, that class is a bore

Last Year:
Computer Science-Final project (make your own game, etc. in GUI)
Chemistry-Absolutely nothing. We watched movies, played cards, and did a grade inflating project and lab

This Year:
History-Covering Vietnam War in detail and a modern presidents report, 1 test and a final
Stat-Board games interspersed with learning 1 chapter and doing an easy project
Physics-Learning nuclear in detail, teacher does some interesting, life changing lectures (i.e. how to build a nuclear bomb, other cool stuff, then how the world lies about nuclear energy), Mock AP Test (yes, after the AP test lol), final
Calc BC-Introduction to multivar, 1 quiz and a final, math related presentations
English-Poetry (no essays), final

In general, my teachers aren't really letting us loose for the rest of the year, but we just stroll through class material. We still have finals in every class except stat (we took it before the AP) Plus, some interesting projects to do :)

Today I played ultimate during one of my APs.

In AP Bio and AP Englsih, we're still learning stuff... BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO....

In math, we're reviewing for alg2, tric, and of course, calc.
