lol in math we'll soon be watching family guy and eating... when we bother to show up that is..

i'm doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in any class except physics. in NY, we have to take a Regents, so I have labs to do ;(

poor you.... \points and laughs

Eng: Have to write an 8 minute speech.
APUSH: Watched a movie last time.
AP Chem: Taking AP exam in about 1 hr, after that we are working on making ti-dye shirts.

APUSH: Debate over issues such as Guantanamo Bay, Patriot Act, illegal Mexican immigrant issues.

AP Chem: 14 bottle problem (lab final) - identifying 14 different compounds through qualitative analysis.

AP Chem - chillin', some labs eventually
AP US History - Forrest Gump, The Fog of War, some history documentaries
AP Eng. Lang. - We were watching lion king the day after the test. We're also doing some more reading but that is about it.

I'm done with APs for the year!

oh yea that whole hamlet thing in lion king... sigh... disney movies with shakespearean themes.. i love those...

sexual awakening in sleeping beauty...

you gotta love disney :D

I've become the monopoly king in English and Government, we're having "2-d collisions" practice in Physics (AKA air-hockey tournaments for extra credit), and movie marathons in other classes (some of my teachers have good taste~definitely not 'remember the titans' or 'radio') those poor calc kids, though, they're just starting their polar unit, so sad.

psych - research project
calc - teacher let us out of class for rest of year (w/parents note)
econ - we only did micro before the ap test, so now we're gonna do basic macro

AP Calc-Reviewing in Class for FINAL (which I can hopefully earn a 4 or 5 (it's an old AP test) for extra credit :)) Final's in like two weeks. Then it's 2.5 weeks filled with Spades tournaments :), RISK games, and other good stuff.
AP Chem-chillin' now...eventually taking a lab practical, presenting our 10 min oral presentations (May 23-June 1), then doing some "fun" polymer labs or something.
AP USH - Did LBJ's presidency yesterday...we're covering LBJ-Reagan, since we haven't done it yet...will be a MC choice test. He doesn't lecture everyday, though. Some days we play games or watch videos.

Well, I have to take the late form of AP Bio on the 19th (so I'll be cramming for that these next few days).

Aside from that, I'm done w/ all my other APs:

I have a final in AP Calc (which will be a breeze, our teacher promised us - she's practically giving us the answers in our review sessions)!

For AP Bio I have a final project w/ several components (an essay on the movie Master and Commander, to create a lesson plan and actually teach elementary school kids a (simplified) bio class - like on how to use a microscope, and other simple little assignments).

In AP Physics, we're watching all six Star Wars movies and then building a robot! Sounds fun (even if the movies are really long)!

In AP French they're reading the DaVinci code but my friend and I are exempt from it since we disagree w/ the book... w/e. So we're doing a much easier project on another book, "The Stranger" (but it's actually in French). We're using Sparknotes though. It's the END of senior year!!

Oh, and after the calc final, ALL we're doing is watching movies that students in the class bring in. Movies like 40 Year Old Virgin and Dodgeball, among MANY others in a long list, are all fair game. This should be fun!

Haha.. and in AP English Lang., we're playing this game called the English Decathalon (10 events obviously) like a spelling bee, trivial pursuit, motivational speaking, etc... and the winning team is exempt from writing the final paper. Eh... I wouldn't mind writing it since it's creative writing, but I am in the game to win!

I didn't actually take the AP Italian class, but I hear they're just chillin' for the fleeting moments of senior year. I'm ok w/ that though. As you can all clearly see, I'm in enough classes where I'm just chillin' ;)

So... yeah, it seems like I'm done b/c we're not really doing anything important in any of my classes. I guess that's the most immediate reward for seniors in AP classes at the end of the year!

Eh... but to an extent, I almost feel a bit useless. It feels like there's just no point to high school anymore! I'm just about ready to plunge right into college life!!

Woo hoo! Princeton class of 2010! :)

I hope the rest of you have it as light/easy/fun as me in all your classes!

-Jon ;)

Last year, I had a ton of work after the AP exams. I had a research project on Kant in English (ugh...), a statistics project involved with mean testing, and a project in Calculus where we designed 3d models of volume problems.

I'm in a new school district this year, and we haven't really done anything before or after the AP exams.

hey we did that whole 3d model of volumes too, but we did it before the APs. :D it counted for our final grade though.

In AP Psychology and Literature, we're watching random movies.
In AP Physics, we're building random things.
In AP Calculus, we're taking our final tests for the quarter.

AP Spanish~ small projects. need to write couple of essays and such. very relaxed
AP English~ A head start on writing college essays and have to read a book now that I think of it.
AP US~ Teacher is going to finish off the sylabus. We only got to Kennedy before the exam.
AP Chem~ We will have a unit test and will still need to take the final.

Sucks quite a bit! Last year in euro, we did nothing but watching movies for pleasure.

PS~ Calculus movies, lol. I burst out laughing. Must be fun!

absolutely nothing.

AP Spanish- writing poetry and having an open mic at this spanish restaurant
AP Psych- making a video documentary
AP Calc- learning new things and having a teach-the-class project =( and then a final =(

AP EURO - My teacher used to have a yearlong class on the assassination of John F. Kennedy, so we're listening to his whole presentation dealio for the rest of the year. We also have a final exam. :(

AP LANG - Reading a ton of lit - starting with A Streetcar Named Desire.

USH - nothing for a week, supposedly easy projects coming up
English - Project, ironic, because we barely did work before the exam
Chem - will find out tomorrow

Not a thing. In English we just sit there and talk, sign yearbook, etc. In Calculus, we do the same thing. However, we have a final in Calc on friday based on one of the free response from the AP Exam.
