SO excited! I’m going to apply to the UNC Gillings School of Public Health my sophomore year. Besides that… running, research, volunteering, study abroad, intramural powderpuff football? :]

I’m going to major in journalism and minor in history. Hope I get too become a part of the Daily Tar Heel and join some writers clubs to improve my literary skills! :)

Also can’t wait for the weekends @ Franklin St. and attending football and basketball games! I love me some Tar Heel sports!

Hey everyone! I’m so excited about becoming a tarheel!

I’m going to major in either marketing or some sort of business management, I intend to eventually open my own formal/bridal store. I want to minor in dramatic arts, I’m just not sure which concentration I’m the most interested in.

As far as activities go, I’m going to rush! I also want to get involved with theater and acting, as well as the student government. However, Greek Life is my priority, so it’ll be ok if I don’t have time for plays or student gov’t.

Hi guyss

So, I’m not 100% sure I’m going to UNC, but its definitely my top choice and I really really want to. It’s really interesting reading what all of you have planned and everything :)

I hope to major in journalism, specifically broadcast, and minor in something like psychology. But anyways, besides that, I’m not sure if I will be involved in greek life yet (though I want to), but I want to get involved with student government? I’d love to be on the dance team or cheerleading team, but that’s something I’ll obviously have to wait and see. Also, i love acting, so I’d like to audition for shows? I don’t know, there’s so much to do! I’ll have to pick between everything I want to do, but i love that UNC has everything I could want.

also, I’m a huge sports fan-football & basketball are a must. (I’ve been a cheerleader all of high school, so maybe I’ll finally be able to be one of those crazy paint your face fans? :])

ps. pierre, are you the pierre that kept showing up on the blog the night of decisions released? hahah not to sound weird, but I folllowed that thing, because i loved everyone freaking out like me!

oh, but i was accepted, for the record ^ haha i’m just waiting to see where I’ll go :)

@pierrelourens:

There isn’t IM frisbee except for a one-day tournament in the spring. Kinda ridiculous to think about. There are club frisbee teams, Darkside for Men and Pleides for women, which are both a lot of fun from what I’ve heard. And there are usually pick-up games late at night too. There is one group that plays from ten to midnight on Mondays and Thursdays and 3-5 on Fridays.

Going to go for a double-major in Political Science and Journalism, hopefully law school after graduating.

I’m going to rush, just to see what comes out of it.

Write for the Daily Tar Heel (like everyone else) if they’ll have me

Plan to study abroad my Junior year (the UK or Italy)

I’d also like to get involved with Student Government, maybe the Tech Crew for Theatre, and probably some kind of environmental/recycling club (I’m sure one exists) and community service, of course.

See you all there :)

You all have such exciting plans. Just putting this out there - you can’t minor in psych. But I believe there’s a minor in cognitive science (which is a really neat field) - fool around on the website!

Hm.

I want to major in bio and minor in either sociology or anthropology. My goal is to be a pediatrician. :]

Anthropology, huh? Are you thinking about doing any field work/participant observations in or right out of college? Perhaps in Asia (China/Korea, maybe)?

Sociology is Anthropology without the good stuff!
(Just kidding…or am I?)

Asia is an interest of mine, so I would definitely look into that.

I’ve never taken an anthropology class, so I’m unsure how much I’ll become partial to it, but I’m in sociology right now and I love it.

I want to hook up in the Undergraduate Library at 4am.

^I hope you’ll accomplish your dream.

^ You know you’ll accomplish that, too.
