So what are your semester grades looking like?

I hate Physics.

The way I'm going to get into Harvard is by massive participation in politics while in high school, culminated in making AP Physics Illegal.

AP Physics is amazing...once you get used to it =)

and @vin lol k, good job!

AP Euro- A
Honors English 10- A (possibly a B, but likely an A)
Spanish II- A
Drivers Ed / P.E.- A
News Journalism- A
Economics- A

AP Calc BC---88 (and that's among the highest grades, lol)
AP Physics---85 (Same idea, that class is ridiculous)
AP French---94
AP Government---93
AP Psych---98
British Lit Honors---93.

I just know Calc and Physics are going to be low now matter what. Especially Physics.

I need to change mine...

IB Calc - A
AP CS -A
AP English - A
IB Chem - B (absolutely devastated. I did so bad on the semester exam. I got A A for the quarters too... :'( don't even now my pain)

im so disappointed with my grades...

AP English - A
AP Calc - A
AP Physics - A
AP Psych - A
AP Chem - D <----kill me right now!!!

well, my Chem grade isn't really a D. it'll be more like a 73 once she drops our lowest quiz grade. but still, if i get a C my hopes of a top institution just might vanish away. i have to seriously work my ass off for the next 3 weeks.

God that class is tough...

Sophomore... we have midterms in a couple weeks

AP Bio = A
AP Euro = A
Anatomy = A
Honors English 10 = A
Alg2/trig = A/B (Stupid bipolar teacher)
Spanish 3 = A
Medical illustration = A
Chemistry = A (Grades so high that i dont have to take the midterm and have a 94 A- for the midterm haha)

ouch im scared to take AP chem next year blu_g8orade

73 is a C? Wow lucky...it's a D for us.

Alrite, final grades for the semester look something like this:

(AP) Science Research: 96.6%
AP Physics BC: 97.8% * first A in the history of the class! the highest grade before was a 89.3!! yay *
AP Biology: 100.86%
AP Calculus BC: 97.3% * only A in the class*

English 3 (H): 96.78%

Databox

Since when was AP Physics a history class?

I think DataBox means that he got the first A of anyone who has taken the class at his school.

But DataBox, since when was Science Research an AP class?

I did so awesome.

AP Calculus BC: A (96%)
AP English Lit : A (98%)
AP Psychology : A (94%)
AP Latin Virgil : A (95.5%)

Since about 10 this morning....CB decided to throw out all the mathematics involved in AP Physics B, C E&M, and C Mechanics, and has restructured the courses to test only the history of major developments in Physics....

Notice I put the AP in parentheses, it's title is "AP Science Research" as you do science research for AP sciences...it's not a class that one receives extra gpa points for nor is there an accompanying AP exam, it's a fun little research class that you get to come to school for at 6:40 am everyday...

^extra credit?

sniff is that grade inflation i smell?

haha lol, j/k. you're lucky. i hate the way my teachers grade AP classes, they won't even curve tests let alone give extra credit

If it's not directly related to your intended major in college, I wouldn't recommend it at all.

There are several other APs you can take that carry just as much weight, like Environmental, Bio, Macro, etc. looking back, I should have just opted for one of those. But everyone said it was the hardest class in the school, therefore my parents automatic response was "Take it."

However... if you think you have a pretty good handle on Chemistry (I thought I did, I got As in Chem GT???), I guess it always looks good to colleges if you can challenge yourself.

hows AP bio? some of my friends say its mad hard, atleast with our teacher, is it a bad idea to just take it for funsies?

AP Art History - A
IB English - A
IB Psychology - A
IB Spanish - A
IB Biology - A
Chemistry - A
PreCalc - B (Got a D on the final. VERY LUCKY!)
GPA: 3.86

All in all, very awesome. I was honestly expecting a 3.3 =)

AP Bio's the easiest AP I've ever taken, nonetheless, I don't know how much weight my perspective carries as I am a Sophomore who's only taken AP Bio, Calc BC, and Physics B & C....

You guys get semesters...which essentially gives you guys plenty of time to raise your grades up...at my school we have quarters..which could work to your advantage or disadvantage. :(
