So what do the people with a whole bunch of EC's write?

It seems that many people have lists and lists of EC's, but aren't there only about five spaces for you to write down your EC's? I just find it funny that some people have lots of EC's but won't be able to show them all to the college (maybe you can squeak one in with the essay, but I've heard that an essay should not be like a resume either).

Kudos to those who have a few EC's but were really committed to them though.

I don't know if you have a question, but I'll respond nonetheless, I believe on the common app that you have seven spaces for the EC's that you participate in. As to what you do about this, you just leave some out, that's what I did, I had twelve to choose from, and I just chose the ones I had a true commitment to, so it's really not that bad, it at least gives you more of a selection to pick between. As to essays, that's why they have the personal statement, it seems, IMO, redundant for someone to have two essays about EC's because then there's no real personal essay [sort of, I think you know what I mean though there is such a thing as a strong EC essay], so....

Yeah, I kind of doubt you have more than 5-7 really good ECs (no offense).

I have many really good EC's I plan to show all of them:
