<p>Plus: If you want your own apartment all to yourself, this is the cheapest option.</p>
<p>Minus: It’s more expensive than sharing a multi-bedroom apartment.</p>

<p>barlum, i can see where ure coming from for the expensive thing, but they way it is with me, i only am gonna stay in the town for the academic time (that is, no need for me to rent over summer). so, with roomies ill be paying for those 3 months too.</p>
<p>so it comes to be a little cheaper in fact.</p>

Aug. 15th-May 15th.</p>

That might be true if you can get a 9-month lease. Apartments in my area generally require a 12-month lease. You might be able to sublet your room or studio apartment for the summer.</p>
<p>Yeah, the few I’ve looked at in Ann Arbor by the campus are 12 months only. They have a “special” student deal for like 9 months but the cost per month goes up as well…</p>
