its kind of sad your asking this but it is texas state law (this is the final year UT is doing this then they are lowering the limit) but ANYONE in the top 10% of their class is in ANY texas state school of their choice (after this year UT austin only is moving to 8%) oh and even if they didnt have this law you would be in but make sure to maintain yor class rank (make sure you stay in top 10% cause you are almost out of it)

Wait, I thought the 8% rule is already in place? As in, I won’t be automatically admitted. That’s why I’m asking my chances for admission.

raise your SATs, get some more extra circulars. Then you should be in for sure. Also because you took so much advance classes, that should probably outweigh the lack of a lot extracirculars. You should’ve taken another langauge because you’re hispanic already, they assume you speak spanish. If you took another language then you would stand out even more. But on a scale of 1-10, you have a 7/8 chance of getting in.

Haha yeah but I wanted to learn Spanish so I could communicate with my family in South America. :P

and thank you for the advice! I am trying to raise my SATs…gah. I wish they would’be kept the top 10% rule. My school’s ridiculously competitive.
