Your HS gpa is very low, but your college GPA is good though. What were your test scores like? I'm pretty sure HS GPA and SATs matter even for transferring, just less so than when applying as a freshman. Being african american will help you.

If your test scores are similar to other URMs at NYU, I think you have a decent chance, but you never know since transferring is harder than getting in as a freshman.

Good luck.

Thanks. And I'm not sure if I plan to send my test scores, if I can get away with it, I won't.
Bump.

fact that you improved significantly in college will show NYU that you have succesfully achieved ur potential in college, that was not apparent in HS. I think you have a decent shot. Good Luck!

I hope so, I know if I wait another year then my chance would be much stronger, but I really do not want to wait - I figure if worse comes to worse, I'll reapply next year.

bumparoo ^_^

One more question, is there any possibility, if I'm lucky enough that I'll get into GSP, because of my low HS grades and ACT i'm not sure I'll get into CAS

You can't get into GSP as a transfer student...at least I don't think so...

Hmmm, according to princeton review, they said I was a good match for NYU, but I think they were reading my college grades as if they were high school grades. I put in my HS grades and they still said it was a good match, so I don't think it's very accurate.

I meant that they don't take any transfers...at least I don't think so. I would say though, that you're still in the game with your college GPA.

Oh, okay. I understand now. Thank you for your input.

Its not accurate. Princeton review is crap.
