so what happens if you made a grammatical omission in your essays?

I just spotted one on one of my essays, especially since I didn't have time to proofread it (I sent it 3 minutes before the deadline!)

Is this going to reflect really badly on me, even if the rest of the essay is really written very well?

It shouldn't be too bad; one small grammar issue won't detract from your whole essay. You're human.

Haha I freaked when I found out I ended one of my sentences for my Cornell supplement with a preposition.

Then I realised that I didn't really care.

Don't worry :)

Well, I omitted a critical "of," which makes the sentence sound really funny.

I'm sure that if the rest of your essay is written in grammatically correct, coherent English, one sentence that sounds a bit funny will not make a difference. Chances are, they're not going to dwell on that sentence for long enough to pick up the mistake, or they'll just accept it as a typo and move on.

Don't stress about it now. It'll be fine.

This applies to me too :). So does anyone here gotten accepted even after one or 2 grammar errors in their essays?
