Is it going to be a some mind boggling or is just going to be an ordinary envelope with "CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR ACCEPTANCE...". Also do they mail you a free sweatshirt/hoodie or t-shirt or anything of that sort. Thanks...Greatly appreciated.

Not sure about the RD letter, but the ED letter begins with "Dear (student name), Congratulations -- Duke University is now your university......".

I got my packet the day after the results were released online (I'm in-state). Inside, there's a beautiful blue folder with a gold sticker on it (with your name and 'Class of 2013'). In the folder, you'll find the official acceptance letter, campus map, and a bunch of other information. If you applied for financial aid, you'll also receive a white envelope. There's no free stuff in the acceptance packet (although it'd be nice if they did send something!) I got two bumper stickers about a week ago though :D

Good luck!!!!

I remember we got some bumper stickers and that's about it.

Not to worry though, once you get to Duke you'll get plenty of with free t-shirts. I could probably go three or four weeks now with a different shirt from Duke each day. :)

Best of luck on March 26th

2012 was impressive- blue package- thick with an acceptance, and it was personailzed. I think they sent a message that if they accepted you- they wanted you.

It'll probably be extremely sexy. Beyond sexy. Devilishly sexy. BLUE devilishly sexy.
