So what majors aren't "useless"?

A degree is what you make of it. If you promote yourself, get your resume out there, pursue internships during your college career, make connections, and go to a good college, you can succeed with just about any major. For some majors, the job offers wait for you. For other majors, you have to do a little more work. But the most academic, intellectual, and smart majors (physics, history, philosophy, pure math, any pure science really) should provide you the best mental preparation for the world--so you will definitely be well-equipped to find a job!
