So what makes Stanford so great?

<p>Stanford is up to par with any ivy league school, but why do you love it so much? This sorta ties into the "why Stanford" essay. I figured that we can try to demystify our addiction with Stanford and in the meanwhile pass the time....</p>

<p>For me, I like Stanford because:
1. Amazing resources and opportunities
2. Near SF
3.Really far from the east coast
4. Warm weather</p>

<p>So I guess, for me what really attracts me is Stanford's location and the different air it has compared to the Eastern ivies. What about you?</p>

<p>@st. aegis: as far as I know most of Stanford undergrads live on campus. So I can only deduce that chanfest22's comment there implied what a great deal of housing you would get at Stanford rather than around Stanford...</p>
