Hello,
I am curious to see what percentage of/how many seniors got ACCEPTED to UF this year (not committed to going, but just accepted) from your high school.

If possible try to follow this format:

Type of school (ex: Coed public, all boys private, etc):
Size of class
Number total admitted
Percent of senior class admitted

Ill start off (this is from what I know about those admitted thus far, but I think that is everyone):

Private all-boys school

About 320 in class
21 admitted (from what I know)
About 6.5%

Thanks

Unofficially, the school’s college GC told me that about 70 kids were accepted from my son’s public high school this year out of a class of 700 kids. This is about 10%…a banner year for my son’s school (better than last year).

i do not know about the percentage but im in NHS and only 8 of the students in it made it, there is only like 25, soooooo

I know of about 20 or so seniors who were accepted. There are probably around 10-15 others I don’t know about.

So… 35/655 = 5.3 percent.

Around 40…
so…out of 790
It’d be…5%

Type of school (ex: Coed public, all boys private, etc): Competitive Private
Size of class: 180 Kids
Number total admitted: 39
Percent of senior class admitted: Only around 80 kids applied to UF so we are hovering around 50% acceptance.

Our school kicks ass at getting kids into UF, then again the top 40 at my school would probably be the top 40 at your school. We just had a kid get into Harvard.

^yeah our valed got into Harvard and Yale.

alot of our top 10% got into Ivies and other top schools (N Dame, Duke, etc)

I am not sure about the value of this statistic unless you count the number who applied?

Two high schools might have same number accepted out of the same number of students at the school…but maybe at one school that accepted number represented ALL of those who applied to UF, and at another it might only represent half of the students who applied…That would be two completely different acceptance rates.

A better statistic is percentage of students who applied who were accepted (as I see some people computed here).

I go to a HS/AA high school there are 165 people in my senior class, which 88 people got in to UF. That is 53% of my class got in.

I do not know how many seniors at my school got accepted to UF, but everyone I know that applied got admitted. So 10+ out of ~230. And at my school I’m sure less than 100 are planning to go to college…and even less going to four year universities. But I don’t really know.

12% of my class got in. The best in our area. We have about 85 students in our class. 10 got in, including myself.

Type of school (ex: Coed public, all boys private, etc): Public Gifted School (we’re like a charter school–but not?)
Size of class: ~250
Number total admitted: 50
Percent of senior class admitted: 10%

Most of our students applied to Ivys or OOS schools. We have kids going to Wharton-UPenn, Harvard, Princeton, and Columbia. Wooh!

Type of school: public magnet
Size of class:100+
Percent of senior class admitted: MANY
