haha i was joking, i have seen rated R movies

^^Scott Pilgrim looked stupid. I saw Get Me To The Greek yesterday, it was hilarious. STROKE THE FURRY WALL. :]

speaking of R rated movies…toy story 3 anyone?

^^ I agree, I thought it looked like the stupidest movie ever. We were seriously debating about not even seeing it but we waited 2 hours in line. The first 20 minutes were not that good, but then it starting to get really interesting. The whole movie is random, I must say, but overall it was good.

To be honest, I feel like the “R=17” thing may come down in the near future. It’s not that a 12 or 13 year old is mature enough to watch a rated R film, it’s more that they won’t be harmed in anyway by the jokes, sexual acts, nudity, and violence because they’ve already seen it all. Kids are growing up younger and younger and that trend will probably continue for a while.

^Soon enough, little boys and girls will know how to perform sexual actions out of the womb.

The movie was like Kick-Ass and Zombieland combined with a tad bit of Infinite Playlist.

^^I’m not sure, I mean the whole parental control is pretty new. There was no rated R or PG-13 it was either PG or G. I think it’ll last awhile…

Well I suppose it will last a while, but I don’t feel like new generation parents will be strict about it. Our parents say: OMG we must shelter and protect you, but we will probably be a lot more lenient because we know much more than our parents knew at age 14.

Not exactly, look at the 60’s! They were getting high all the time trying to prove a point that the Vietnam War was stupid. The 80’s were getting around just as much/or more than our generation. They were insane…

Then when a lot of the current kids are parents, the music will still suck and they won’t care at all about what’s going on.

Those 60s people were not 13 though.

I think what you mean is that entertainment has evolved within the past 20 years. It was the norm to only have 0 or 1 television in the 70’s. Now the vast majority of families have about 3 TVs on average per household. Also, the internet was created in the 90’s and now porn in easy access. The generations have not technically changed, every child/teen still thinks the same, but the entertainment is what has evolved. Only because now it is a necessity to have a computer or some sort of electronic.

Music has not changed at all, either. Just that the lyrics are more in depth, if you listen to music in the 60s, 70s, and 80s it’s all about sex and drugs. The Beatles had many songs about getting high, you have “Summer of '69” which is about sex. Our minds have no evolved, just electronics have; it’s like a disease.

I know that what I’m going to bring up is not exactly pertinent, but I couldn’t help but bring it up, as I have been reading you guys bash on cheerleading and eventually deviate to a new topic for the past several pages. I’m curious though, r0kAng3l… you’re from Arizona which is full of INCREDIBLE high-school cheer teams. Did you cheer for one of them? If so, then I’m extremely jealous!

^What a loser…x]

^^ I am not a loser… just curious :)
