So what's been your worst class this year?

AP Gov.

I keep procrastinating on the homework because it’s so damn pointless.

Love the subject though.

Statistics. It’s beyond awful at 8 am and it doesn’t help that my prof is probably the most boring person ever…

Don’t forget to write your reviews on ratemyprofessorsdotcom.

mech. engineering drafting/design course

Database Systems. The professor just reads off the textbook-supplied PowerPoints, uses the textbook-supplied tests, and takes off tones of points for stupid little stuff.

art. uggg.

Chem 1. Not a very difficult course, but my prof. certainly enjoys attempting to make it one. Only one A in the class and the class average is somewhere in the D- range. Glad to say I could possibly get out alive with a B+…we shall see. Final is Monday…last test is this friday…yeah…

Oh yeah. I was also lucky enough to pick the only chem prof. who does NOT curve.

I’m currently suffering the effects of being a naive freshman.

Chem lab! prof grades it HARSHLY! and doesn’t explain well

My two core curriculum classes. Snore. The professors don’t actually realize that none of us care and the only reason we’re taking the class is because NYU made us :)

plato’s republic. would’ve been a good class if it wasn’t so early.

I love how everyone here agrees about chem: the material itself isn’t hard to understand, but the tests are designed to trap you with technicalities. With that, the prof’s lecture style is montone and dull, which further makes the course difficult.

Yup my 8AM chem was the worst. I haven’t had it for a while, and the tests were so darn tricky!

Historical Archaeology. I’m an anthropology major, but I hate this class because I hate taking classes with this particular professor. I just can’t stand his blase teaching style. But it was the only archaeology class offered this semester (I have to have a certain number to graduate). It’s not my area of interest either. I have no idea what I’ve made on pretty much anything except my midterm (we have had homework due once a week since September and he has returned 0 grades from them to us). Plus he took over a month to get our midterm grades back to us, so for a while even in November we had gotten absolutely NO grades back in the class whatsoever. I also had a 10-12 page paper due for that class this past Monday and he gave us absolutely no guidelines on it other than length and number of sources we should have, so I’m hoping I’m going to do decently on it, enough to make a B or C in the class, anyway.

Faith and Critical Reasoning. It’s a core requirement here at Fordham, and my teacher is a 75 year old, close minded, bigoted, racist, hypocritical, homophobic and dogmatic priest. Sucks for me. :(

I may not technically be in college yet, but I will have 32 credits stacked by graduation. That being said: dual-enrollment precalculus.

Core Bio. 6 hours of lecture a week plus a weekly lab. Yuck! I’m just glad to be done with it.

I like Calc and even chem sometimes but whenever I see a physics problem I want to kill myself

actually, i take the class back i put down earlier. i have to say i hate this seminar the most. i hate the people organizing it.

Calculus 2. I don’t really know why I decided to take it…should’ve done statistics instead. lol

“Psychology”… that’s the title of the course anyway. In reality, my psych professor doesn’t talk about psychology at all. He explains the anatomy of the human *****/vagina, how they fit together, the actions of sexual intercourse (“thrust in and out” etc.), STD rates, has an obsession with female condoms, and things of that nature. I think that I should report him for being inappropriate. Does that sound like a normal psych class? It’s the first one I’ve taken, so I don’t want to report him if it isn’t normal, but making people describe each step in sexual intercourse in a really, really, REALLY detailed manner doesn’t seem right for a PSYCH course… What do you think?
