<p>While the new SAT average is probably around 1560, the cc average is probably somewhere in between 1560 and ~2150, probably around 1900.</p>

<p>Almost all of the people posting on this thread are going to be high scorers, and most low scorers will be reluctant to post, and some may even be lying. The volunteer bias is off the charts no matter what sample size you get. If you consider the average SAT of every single member on CC, I would say it is about 1850/1900. Now an interesting study would be whether browsing around on CC, seeing various techniques and so on, actually boosts SAT score.</p>

<p>Umm, actually, I think our average is FAIRLY accurate. A lot of people say lower scorers are scared to post. I disagree. Although we have only like five scorers under 2000 that have posted, that doesn't mean all the people who scored under 2000 are hiding. In fact, Honestly, it's an anonymous online forum, why does ANYONE care what anybody on here thinks about them? No...the truth of the matter is, the average is a lot higher than everyone thinks. Though I will agree that it IS lower than the 2150 range we have calculated thus far, it's not by much. I would say it's probably more like 2050. </p>
