Yea most colleges do composite, with what the UC's as the exception and a few others.

lol stop wasting your time guys you have 6 scores below 2000...read my post there is no way you can get a remotely accurate average of the 10,000+++ no matter how large your sample is...

This thread is amusing !

2050 (10char)

There needs to be some sort of an anonymous poll...as it stands now, it's no wonder that people with scores below 2000 are intimidated into not posting...if it was anon, it would be a much more accurate sample

yeah, an anonymous poll would be better, but probably slighlty difficult.
but by now there are enough scores, you can just add a score to the list without it being really noticeable.

Rather than taking the average SAT score, shouldn't we be finding the median SAT score instead?

I think that both the average and median scores will be greatly skewed because many students with lower scores are not posting

Only people who really care about college will post at this forum, and people who dont care will generally have a lower sat score, so it makes sense that the average is so high!

^^agreed... If you take the REAL average of everyone who's taken the SAT on CC, it would be at least a couple hundred points lower... stupid thread

2260 highest overall/2220 single session

But that's the point of this thread - to see how skewed the sample is.

"Only people who really care about college will post at this forum, and people who dont care will generally have a lower sat score, so it makes sense that the average is so high!"

I disagree completely. There are people without the 2300's who come here for help... just because they have a lower SAt score doesnt mean they care.. and just cause they have good grades or SAT scores, doesnt mean they give a ****

I got a 1960 after taking it one time in junior year. 630m, 640 cr, 690 writing with an 11 essay. However......My GC told be that basically I s*** because my gpa is around a 3.2 unweighted and "That SAT can never replace a a low gpa." GRRRRRRRR
