So, what's the curve like this year for Calc BC/Physics C??

I'm too cheap to call and pay cb ANOTHER f-ing $8 for my scores, so I'm just going to wait for my score by snail-mail ;)

In the mean time, my wonderful cc'er, you guys can maybe tell me what the curve was like this year on Calc BC and Physics C [Mechanics]!!

I know you ALL must have an idea of how well you did, and what your score is...right...

For Calc BC: Was it on-par with previous years (mid-60% = 5), or did it shoot to like 70% or upper-60's....

For Physics C: was it around mid-50% or higher??

Thanks guys!!

Well, I got all 5's, so I'm not really sure....I do know that I got 1 free-response on each Physics test kind of wrong, though, so yeah. I've heard from others and based on experience that the Calc BC was easy whereas the Physics C tests were hard. They don't tell you the curves when you call...

I got a 5 in both, and I screwed up the first Physics C: mech. FRQ, and skipped several MC and the final FRQ on Calculus BC., so there may have been a significant curve... Who knows?

I think the physics C mechanics curve was quite lenient. I did not expect getting a 5, infact would've been happy to get a 4, but got a 5 in it.....

Physics C tests were easy in my opinion, but the 2004 test cutoff for a 5 was like a 49/90...

I f-ed up Calc BC so bad, and I still got a 5.

I was expecting a 3.

how can you "f" up something SO BAD and still expect a 3?

transformers,

approximately what percentage of the test do you think you got correct? around 60+?

srabiee, for lots of tests a 3 is like 30% or something.. I think that qualifies as f'ing up pretty badly.

I disagree. AP tests are designed that way.

Um idk. I think it's pretty easy to get a 3 on AP tests though as long as you fill everything out, that's why.

I probably got less. There were at least 2-3 FR's that I didn't get like at all, and I think I did really bad on the non-calc MC section. I didn't know like pretty much all the series questions and couldn't even remember the formulas, and there was quite a bit of that...

AND YOU STILL GOT A 5?! Well, no offense to you at all, but if you're not BS-ing us for some reason, you just gave A LOT OF PEOPLE hope for getting 5's on the test ;)

CONGRATS none-the-less, a 5 is a 5 is a 5 :)

i didn't think the BC test was very hard...
there were some no calculator that i wasn't expecting but after going over questions in class (with my teacher who's an AP grader) i avergaed about a 7 on the FRQ so i think i got a 5

^^^ I didn't find this year's test to be particularly difficult though, so I don't know how the curve can be so good. And yeah, congrats on the 5! Now I really want to know what I got... Oh, well. A few more days to go.

I struggled with the BC test. I know I screwed up the last FRQ and left out/got wrong a couple of other parts of the FRQ. I also left a few out for the non calc multi choice and got some more wrong there. I didn't feel too confident.. thought maybee I'd get a 4.. but got a 5 :-)

congrats on all the 5's so far...some of these stories are quite wonderful :)

secret bump...lol

bump++; //this increases the bump counter by 1

When I finished the test, I thought there was going to be a ridiculously harsh curve for Calc BC though. But, whatever it is, it's still a 5. Yay!

BC was easy enough, except for the second half of the non-calc mc section, so I expected my 5.

Physics C Mech's MC was easy, but I screwed up on the first 2 FRs, so I got a 5. E/M had a hard MC, but the FR was easy, and I got a 5, so I guess I'm good at guessing...

@vader

variable bump was not found.
