from what i've picked up, 770-800 means that you're perfect and shouldn't retake it. but what if you got 700-760? should you try to retake it then? and do scores in the 600's look THAT bad to colleges like hyps?

i don't want to retake my sat ii's, but it seems like i'm gonna have to.... 660 in physics, 740 in mathii, and 750 in us history

are you a humanities person? b/c if u are, then just take two more humanities tests and hopefully do better on those two, and apply. colleges generally only look at top three anyway.

The Physics one will be a problem, but only re-take it if you're sure you can significantly raise your score. There's no point if you only get 10-20 points more.

so how bad does like a 600's score look to colleges.

like is it just neutral. doesnt hurt but doesn help.

Guys, you must remember that this depends on context. If you are applying to Harvard, a 600s score is obviously going to matter. If you are applying to somewhere most people (not just CCers) consider a safety, then a 600s probably looks good.
