You didn't get in...sorry

April 1st. Mid-March if you're in Engineering.

uh... last year i found out on march 10. and i'm a psych major.
actually, all of us found out on that day (by email).
so, 3 weeks less to wait! xD

Supposedly it's taking longer this year because of the holistic eval.

"Supposedly it's taking longer this year because of the holistic eval."

How do you know? Can anyone confirm this?

square, the page isnt found.

^ yes, what they post is always something like that.
i'm just saying, at least for my year and the years prior, you find out earlier than they say.
so i wouldn't expect that anyone would hear STARTING at the "end of march" but rather, that everyone will hear BY the end of march.
i'd think either the 9th (the friday equivalent to last year) or the 16th-ish (for whatever this "wholistic eval" thingy is) are safe bets.
or... you could just EXPECT the end of march, and be pleasantly surprised when it's (95% guarantee) earlier.
gl to all of you potential bruins!

They're changing the site design right now, which is why it didn't load. Here is a working link: http://dailybruin.com/news/2006/nov/06/holistic-criteria-released/

Direct quote from that article: "Because of the new process, applicants will receive their decision letters on April 1, not sooner, as they have in the past, Montero has said."

decision letters? i thought ucla told u online

Think into consideration of people who do not have Internet access ... :)

i got an actual letter. i think. it came like a week or two after results were online.

csquare, thanks for the article, it was definately an interesting read.

I believe HSSEAS let their students know about whether they were accepted about two weeks before official online decisions were released. Basically, Engineering sent letters to admitted students, saying that "the faculty of HSSEAS" has greatly recommend you for admission into UCLA."

Or something to that effect. My letter is back in NorCal.

wait so if the letters come april 1st does that mean we find online 2 weeks earlier?
