I think I've actually lost weight! I still skip breakfast like I did in high school but not as often. I cut down on junk food since it never helped me gain weight.

I still live at home so I don't see why this is happening, and I don't like how my pants are feeling like they're about to fall off !

Freshmen 15 is actually a myth. I live on a large campus, surrounded by so many fatty/junk food(from gourmet Dining halls food to the local pizza place and Mcdonalds). Yet not so many people here are gaining weight. Actually if they were they would be gaining it in muscle not fat (which is kinda my goal). Also some people actually gained at least 15 pounds so it’s not entirely false but there are way too many factors to consider for the F15.

The Freshmen 15 is not a myth. It’s real and sneaky.

Don’t succumb.

PS You are not going to gain 15 within two months of school. I mean you could, but that’s not the point. The Freshmen 15 creeps up leaving you aware of it only when you realize that your jeans are truly a size too small.

Unless those guys go from zero to sixty with a legit workout schedule in which they adapt their life to, I doubt they will gain and keep those 15 pounds of muscle.

I got the Freshmen 25. Even worse. But I lost all of that when I stopped dorming and moved home to commute.

You’re still living at home so that might be the key, LOL. I’ve noticed that on-campus food, even in the dining hall, is really bad compared to what is cooked in most homes (at least in mine).

Marching Band students may succumb during Spring semester - find a fun recreational activity with friends or you won’t fit into your band uniform next year!

Oh gosh let’s not bring up washboard

Some guy in my class wanted me to touch them to prove he has something caz I said he Doesn’t have abs. I mean he’s a lifeguard so I expect to see abs but it looked more toned not ripped like I expected.

I never gained weight my freshman year. I also commuted though. My diet mostly consisted of soup, cereal, and crackers. I never drank either; a lot of people get their 15 through copious amounts of beer.

Wow so I guess commuting is a factor :/
I’ll be a commuter for at least 2 to 3 more years but no wonder I haven’t seen any over weight people.
I thought community college would have All kinds of people.

With all-you-can-eat dining hall meals, I definitely felt like I should “get my money’s worth” first semester, which included full breakfasts most days. By the end of first semester I could feel my pants getting a little tighter. Second semester I reduced my meal plan and ate simple breakfasts in my room, plus I took advantage of the fact that there was a gym the floor below my room and spent about 30 minutes on the exercise bike with a book a few days a week. I was back to my “normal” weight by the end of the year, but didn’t have the will power to lose any weight beyond that.

Currently, I believe I may be succumbing to the “study abroad 15” resulting from the massive quantities of delicious German food and chocolate surrounding me.
