<p>are you talking about joining the network for your prospective college? if that’s the case, probably if you haven’t graduated from your current school…give you something extra to look forward to anyhow…</p>

<p>You can’t take facebook too seriously… it’s not like it’s a website full of forums on college issues. Depending on where you go, you might want to make your profile private if you have nosy administrators at your school.</p>

<p>seriously, when the freshmen FINISH. It’s really awkward for freshmen to think about incoming students already declaring themselves as freshmen when the current freshmen haven’t even finsihed their year yet.</p>

<p>Personally, I joined right after I got back home from orientation in June. Of course, that was back in the day when you had to have an .edu email to even join facebook… I’m old. Basically you can join anytime you want now…</p>

<p>I joined in December after I found out about early decision- and there were already 20 other EDers on. No big deal. We ended up all becoming very close since all of us came from all over the country and most of us didn’t even know anyone who <em>knew</em> where our school is, much less was applying or went there. I met my now best friend the first day and over 2 years later, still best friends.</p>

<p>So really, it’s not going to hurt you to join now and get in on one of the incoming freshman groups for your school.</p>

<p>AUlostchick, you still have to have a .edu email to join the college’s network… which is something for the OP to consider as well.</p>

<p>I joined as soon as I confirmed my enrollment. I wish more of my friends would join their schools’ networks too so I could see where everyone’s going.</p>
