i haven't been able to experience senioritis yet. argh.

even if i get an acceptance letter in a week, it'll still be time to kick my ass for merit scholarship and NOT messing up 2nd trimester (Already it's shifted from college to scholarship work. and it SUCKS 10x more than actual college application work)

jeaaaalous of all those who've tasted the sweetness that is senioritis

I am inter-semester break, but will start the second semester on Monday. We shall see what happens during the rest of the year, which will probably be more hard work.

I wrote in my LJ the following. It's not very well written, for my standards, since I wrote it at 2 in the morning (avoiding homework, of course) but it sums it up pretty nicely, I think...

"It's so good to be a Senior. It feels like morphine after being in a huge car wreck. You know it's very serious and that if you didn't have the morphine, you'd be in some serious pain. You're still going to have to deal with the consequences but until that happens? Yeah, you're flying high, no cares in the world. That's how I would describe Senioritis, at least for me.

It's the best worst feeling I've ever had in my life."

i have junioritis!! (hoorah for early entrance!)

the sad thing is that i had junioritis before i even got my acceptance packet. 1st term just ended and i got 3 A minuses (had only gotten 1 a minus before that ever)! ooops. haha. not like i care. i'm going to college!

yes...i have major, major senioritis meaning starting hw around 9-10 and sleeping before 12, with 5 APs. Do minimal hw/almost no studying
how did i make all A/A-'s last semester? I have no clue.
hah. and our school is top 50 in the nation...

socks, in my school, junioritis marks when students start to dive head-first into the overacheiving lifestyle, not something analogous to senioritis! :)

And speaking of senioritis, I move to introduce the more politically-correct term for this academic epidemic: Work Ethics Deficiency Syndrome (WEDS).

I was working hard until Jan. 31 for my midyear reports. First semester of my senior year was my best ever. Now, though, all motivation has been drained from my body. Its only been a few days so my grades haven't really dropped, but a month from now.... watch out lol

Oh and for an example, I had a five page English paper due on Friday. I woke at 4:30 friday morning and wrote it in just over an hour and a half. I just couldn't bring myself to do it, even the night before

I'm so glad that some teachers accept make-up work. I have about 5 assignments to makeup in AP US Govt. (class goes so friggin fast). We cover 2 long chapters per week, and I'm having trouble keeping up with it.

And then of course there is some chem makeup work I have to do.....

Oh, and interim report cards come out in a week, and my grades aren't going to be too good with missing assignments. That should be fun trying to explain to my dad. He'll probably take away my license...
