so who might actually attend in the fall?

very good chances here, it is tied for my top school :)

same here. Depends on Georgetown and Tufts. even if i get accepted into both it’ll still be a tough decision…

im pretty sure definately going! it all depends on the merit scholarship…hopeing i get SOMETHING!

I’m deciding between GW and UCSD; I love SD’s campus and I’m more familiar with the school because I live in California. GW is really awesome because it suits my major by being in the heart of DC. It’ll be a hard decision definitely.

I might. Have to decide between NYU, GWU, American U, and University of Florida.

However, GWU is high on my list.

George Washington is my top choice, the Elliott School offers the one best international affairs programs in the world. The only issue is money, especially with the economy as it is. If I don’t receive any merit or enough aid I will probably will go to UNC, which is also a great school, but I would love so much more to be in DC.

Unless the money is really bad - I’m coming to GW!!! But I am really encouraged by the threads talking about FA being good this year despite the economy. My parents are backing me on this so now all I need is for FA to come thru! Best of luck and congrats to all of you!

What do you think of the comparisons between, GW, AU, and GT?

I think the three schools are hard to compare. They each have their individual merits. I was surprised to see that there is no animosity between them (when I visited and read the student papers). I wish there was a rivalry; it would definitely bolster school spirit.

We sent the deposit in. My son is a definite. He really wanted GW and they provided the best aid package.

I think that I’ll most likely be attending GWU this upcoming fall. :)

I’ve sent my deposit in and I am going to the 4/15 student visit day. Do you think I have to bring my parents? I haven’t been able to set up my NetID yet bc they haven’t processed my acceptance.

WAVES… Parents do not need to attend the accepted students day. They can if they want to. Totally optional

I attended yesterday. no special program for parents, D could have gone on her own.

Well I’m from DC, and I won the Stephen Joel Trachtenberg Scholarship, worth over $200,000, so its an absolutely free ride – tuition, room, books, meals, fees – so i’m pretty sure i’m attending this year, I’m really excited to be staying in dc, i gotta admit, cause i love it here! GWU is definitely a top choice, but i’m also deciding between vassar, vanderbilt, and cornell…either way, i’m excited.

For my son, it came down to GWU and SMU. He ultimately chose SMU simply because he wanted a more traditional campus. However, I visited GWU with him and can state unequivocally it would be an absolutely fantastic place to go to college.

For those of you who are attending, consider yourself lucky. You should have a great 4 years.

IN_DC:

Alright! I was reading about that in the GW Hatchet. Fantastic job! You are lucky and blessed!

me me me! im pretty sure

Sent in my deposit yesterday. =)

~~~~~ i’ll
