Any of you considering attending UC Davis this fall?

raises hand

HECK NO. I live near Davis, and it's SO BORING. My brother goes there, and I stayed in his dorm overnight once, and there was noooooothing to dooooo.

Where do you live? What doesn't Davis have that you'd like to have in a college?

From what I've seen, it seems like a great college town.

I think the number of things to do really depends on the person.

Maybe if you're someone who needs to be entertained and needs to be out and always DOING SOMETHING, Davis might seem 'boring.' If you are someone who can have a great time hanging out with friends or other creative activities I hear Davis offers, then ... well, you shouldn't have a problem.

But, I like that Davis is a college town, and that not many students go home on the weekends. Maybe it being 'boring' will ensure that more friends are made. I live next to UCLA, and I never wanted to go there because it's so fast-paced and I never got the 'community feeling' I want while on the campus - everyone seems to go to class, stick with their few friends, get class done, get off campus, and scatter all throughout the city. It might not be like that but that's how it felt to me. So, I'm considering Davis for the very things others categorize as "boring."

(Also, think how different every person's interpertation of 'boring' is.)

At least that's my opinion, of course, I have yet to visit next month. :)

ive been to davis, and their parties get crackin. If you can't find anything to do, that's your fault and you need to learn to be a little bit social

raises hand as well The more I hear about it, the more I like it :)

I totally agree with Weirdhobo! Right now I'm waiting for stupid UC Irvine to send out their decisions that I've been waiting for so long!! My chances at Berkeley are practically 0 so yeah. UC Davis woohoo!

UCI has been by far the most random in sending out acceptance notices. Though I did not apply (too close to home) a friend is STILL waiting as you are, someguy1337.

im on the same boat. I dont know if i really want to go to irvine anymore or if it's just all the anticipation thats been building up within the last week. At least i have davis though..

I am. For sure, for sure. I loved Davis ever since 4th grade x]

I'm still trying to decide between Davis and UCSC.

mmm. i have a friend who goes to ucsc... and she regrets it. but diff ppl have diff preferences.

Definitely considering Davis!!
Anyone from Socal here?

I'm from SoCal! I hope it won't be too tough to adjust to Norcal.

Definitely considering Davis, it's easily one of my top choices.

I'm from SoCal as well!

I'm from SoCal as well. =]

SoCal as well woo~Screw my home city, I've been here too long :D

Me too from SoCal, hailing from the ole boring Simi Valley...

Can't wait to go to Davis!

Ugh, I don't wanna leave SoCal, but it looks like I'll have to.
