So...with the tuition increase.. what's gonna happen to our financial aid..?

Vanish ?

Supposedly, if you come from a family with income of less than 70,000, all of the student fees are covered (via financial adi). You do not have to pay them.

Don’t know why the the fee increase is a huge ass deal as if low-income students won’t be able to afford it. I sure don’t call family income > 70k low income. What they should be focusing on instead is closing the business property tax loophole.

Not true. I know kids who come from families earning much less than $50,000 and their families are having to borrow from friends and anywhere they can get it to pay the tuition.

Good luck. I wouldn’t count on much financial aid next year.

I think you’re going to get the same proportion of financial aid to fees.

Yeah, I read the thing about earning less than $70,000 and supposedly having your tuition covered…and I was like, really?? If that’s true, I’m getting gypped.
Does it simply mean that we’ll be granted more loans? That doesn’t make me feel much better… )=

According to the fin aid office, we can see our package increases next week: [UC Berkeley Financial Aid Office: News](http://students.berkeley.edu/finaid/news/detail1.htm)

It says most will get an increased grant.
