So far I have 640 French. I took Math Level II probably before I should have and I think I either scored low 600's or high 500's. I also took US History but I'm sure I got high 700's on that. I still haven't taken the SAT but I'm not too worried. Right now I'm rank 18 in my huge class (my school has over 5,00 students), and my average is 96.16. However I should note I play two instruments (clarinet, oboe), and I'm a talented writer. (My poetry has been published and performed) On top of this, Ive been involved in school productions, and won several awards in competition's my school's Intel Social Science program has entered. I'm also a top-scorer on the National Latin Exam. Should I be applying to a school like Harvard? Do I have a chance? My guidance counselor thinks my creativity and uniqueness could give me the edge of the 99 average people but I don't know.
Thanks

high 500's and low 600's are kind of low. I would say upper 700's would be the best for colleges such as harvard.

What about all of the people with the 99 average AND the uniqueness and creativity? Their numbers are about...couple thousand.

A low 600 on its own wouldn't necessarily hurt you, assuming you made up for it with other aspects of your application...

Those SATII scores aren't fatal by themselves, but they do decrease your odds of getting in. If there's any way you can bring them up (perhaps by choosing different subjects), you should give it a try.
