When you come across questions that ask you about the whole passage or how the author of on passage would react to the lines of another passage, it just becomes daunting to read that one part of passage 1 to get the view again. Of course this is easier said than done(to correctly get the views that an author has of something 100% of the time).

When I come across any CR passage, I first underline all the line references in the questions and answer the "passage as a whole" questions in the end. Still, I find myself baffled when I try to figure out the mood or attitude of an author when I'm looking at 80 lines again and trying to skim the passage again. What do you guys who score high in CR usually do with the whole passage questions in terms of getting the main idea? Do you put it in your mind or do you briefly write something to the side?
