So you're accepted...have you decided where to attend??

I sure don't know where.

Accepted so far:
TCNJ, Rutgers, Emory

Hovering Between:
Emory and Rutgers

Still waiting for: UVA, Cornell, Stanford (acceptance to all three is slim, esp for Stanford)

Emory is super far away, but the weather is nice, the rep is amazing, and the med school is REALLY good too.

Rutgers is cheap (yay scholarships!), less competition, and the honors program really isn't all that bad. i went to the honors program day.

which would you choose?

I'm still waiting to hear from BU and Columbia (though admittance to the latter probably won't happen). I've gotten into NYU, UConn, UMiami, UC San Diego, and Marist.

I'd have to sell a kidney to afford NYU, UC San Diego is way too far away, and I just don't think Marist is the place for me. I'm still thinking about UMiami and going to an accepted students' reception next week, I'll consider BU if aid/merit is generous, and obviously I'll go to Columbia if accepted.

Right now, though, I think I'll probably end up at UConn. I've gotten into the honors program and gotten a scholarship from the college, and I'm in the running for a school-wide scholarship that pays full tuition, all four years, for a science, math or engineering major. Even if I don't get the latter scholarship, though, UConn is dirt cheap and I'll get a good education.

Best of luck to you!

Got into 13--the only 2 that have made it to this round of consideration are Wash U & Notre Dame...I have basically full rides at both of them...so money isn't a factor...
I'm waiting on Princeton & Brown, and with both of their admissions being so unpredictable, I'm not so sure about them. But if I get in one of them, that's where I'm going! & If I get in both, Princeton trumps Brown.

Applied to 4. Accepted to 4. Deciding between 2.

Accepted: University of Wiconsin - Madison, University of Missouri - Columbia, University of Texas - Austin
Waitlisted: Northwestern

Attending Missouri!

Accepted: UCLA, UCSD, USC, UOP, Cal Poly SLO, UCD, UCSB, UCR, UCM
Rejected: UC Irvine

Deciding between UCLA and UCSD

Accepted so far:
GaTech, Northeastern, rpi, wpi, casewestern, umass amherst

Hovering Between:
GatTech an Northeastern

Still waiting for: Cornell, CMU, UMD

unlikely to get into Cornell or CMU, no idea about UMD. I realize my hovering between is a little odd since GaTech is higher ranked, more well known, and more prestigious than northeastern. But there are reasons that I'll probably go into in a topic on the engineering forum once I have all my decisions >_>

Accepted so far:
Duke, Rice, Cornell, WashU

Deciding between Cornell and Duke

Waiting for:
Columbia and UPenn

Rejected: UC Irvine

[/quote]

lol i feel you.

OP: pick emory. unless $$ is the only problem.

Accepted so far:
Pitt (honors), Penn State, IUP, NYU, BC

Deciding between:
BC and Pitt

Waiting for:
Dartmouth and Penn

if you dont get into stanford or cornell, my advise would go to rutgers.. i go to rutgers and the honors program is pretty good-- just make sure you listen to people's advise in ratemyprofessor.com ... also, there's a lot of opportunity to shine! good luck!

D has 7 acceptances.

3 are out for financial reasons- can't afford them. Deciding between Smith, Scripps, GWU, American and McDaniel. Leaning towards Smith.

Has a full-tuition scholarship to McDaniel and good offer from American - don't know about GWU yet.....still not an easy decision.

Accepted: Northwestern, U of I Urbana-Champaign, Miami (OH), Truman State, Grinnell

Waiting for: Harvard, Princeton, Georgetown, Vanderbilt, Williams, William and Mary, Cornell

At this point I'm 96% sure I'm going to Northwestern, and that will probably only change if I get into Princeton or Williams and they give me amazing FA.

D accepted to 6, wait listed at 1, and haven't heard from 4. Carleton is definitely a contender. As for the others, it will depend on FA packages (and of course offers of admission).

RhapsodyinPink -- Did you visit Grinnell? What is your impression?

Accepted into 7/8, deciding between 5/8. College is great.

Accpeted to Boston U, NYU, and the University of Dallas. Rejected from Stanford. Waiting on USC, Yale, and Columbia.

Accepted to 3 schools so far; choosing between CMU and RPI.

But if I get into Cooper Union, it's CU I go.

I'm most likely going to Northwestern, even if I do get into Princeton and Harvard.

I LOVE NU! Plus I just bought a bunch of merchandise, so I think that seals the deal.

Accepted to: Rice, Northwestern, Emory, Pitt, Miami, UT Dallas, Berkeley, Davidson
Rejected from Stanford. Waitlisted at Duke.
Waiting for Penn, Yale, Brown, Princeton

Deciding btw UT Dallas, Pitt, Miami, and Rice
