<p>Anyways, could you guys chance me!? It would be greatly appreciated!</p>

<p>Schools Im pretty sure I'll get into:
UC Santa Barbara
UC Santa Cruz
UC Davis</p>

<p>Schools I might be able to get into:
USC
UCSD
Cal
UCLA</p>

<p>Schools I know I won't get into, but applying there anyways:
Stanford (Business major)</p>

<p>So these are the schools Im applying to, now for the details.</p>

<p>Male, white/canadian indian (ha, 16%, I included it in my app).</p>

<p>GPA: Weighted: 4.1 Unweighted: 3.9
Class Rank: 38/750 (the class of '09 at my school is very competitive).</p>

<p>Senior Schedule:
AP Stats
AP Bio
AP Eng. Lit.
Honors Economics
AP US Gov.
Photo I</p>

<p>Tests (this is the part I'm worried about).</p>

<p>SAT: 1880
SAT IIs:
BIO M: 620
US History: 680
APs:
Eng. Lang.: 2
Env. Science: 2</p>

<p>(okay, thats the worst part of the application).</p>

<p>Extra Currics:
4 year member of marching band at 30 hours a week with an 18 week season. We've gone to Grand Nationals to compete.
I went with my jazz band to Europe to play the summer of Junior year.
4 year symphonic band member.
2 year NHS member.
1 year CSF member.
Boy scout for about six years.
I shoot (photography) in my free time (I included this)
community theatre for three years
French for three years (school doesnt offer AP, not enough kids signed up).
Intern at a company for a summer
Did two years of community service at the fair</p>

<p>This was the basic extra currics, I added more.</p>

<p>My letters are really good, especially the ones sent to USC. (three are from alumni, one of which is from the mayor. Score!)</p>

<p>Anyways, do I stand a shot? UC Santa Cruz is my safety BTW.</p>

<p>Yeah I know at Im at a waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay long shot for Stanford, but you only apply once for undergrad, you know? Is a journalism/music major just as competitive? I mean, everything at Stanford is competitive, but are they a couple of the least competitive majors?</p>

<p>I can totally see why you’re applying, though. Why refrain from following a dream? The reason I think there’s no chance is because you’re applying for business… usually business majors are EXTREMELY competitive. On second thought, I don’t think Stanford has a separate school for business. Ah well, who the hell knows? You’ll find out in late March! xP</p>

<p>Stanford has neither a business or journalism major undergrad. That’s why it was easy to be 100% certain:)</p>

<p>Davis and santa barbara are matches, and UCSD is a high match, the rst are reaches, i guess hope for UCLA but ts doubtful</p>
