so...

I sent in my app yesterday, and it feels good to be done! :)

I hope I get in

It does feel good to be done.

Good luck!

thanks :) I hope I get some aid too..lol

Congratulations for getting it over with, and good luck. Now comes the hard part, though: the waiting.

AHH, I haven't even started the essays yet! But I've given them some thought (if that counts).

lol don't worry, the one of the essays is kinda tough (the favorite character)..but the problem with your generation/greatest challenge one was medium.

Good Luck and get started, procrastination sucks (this is coming from a guy who doesnt start homework till 11:30 PM lol)

Well, for an update.. I decided not to apply to WFU. I haven't visited, and those two essays just seemed like too much for a place I'd never seen. I kinda regret it now, but I don't think I ever could have seen myself actually ending up at Wake Forest.

Good luck to everyone, though! Seems like a really great place.

one of the best ways for wake to really narrow down their applicants and recieve candidates who actually want to go is by giving the supplement they do. it knocks alot of people off.

I find it odd that the supplement that Wake wants actually deters people. I suppose it saves the admissions office time but it is not that difficult to complete.

I do not think you would find it hard to imagine yourself at Wake. It is really a place that is hard to 'label' and I can say that my initial impressions (ie not in person) were not great. That had to do with prejudices and such.

My friend and I both decided to not apply to Wake after sending in everything else required (test scores, transcripts, recs, etc.) I admit it, it was out of laziness -way too much going on in school, I couldn't find the time to write the essays once it came down to the deadline.

Monday we both received nice letters (dated 1/19, 4 days after the deadline) saying they haven't yet received our applications and "invited" us to apply either through the website or Common App. The weirdest thing was that they even INCLUDED an application in the envelope! Like, here you go, you can start now!

I just thought it was very strange, but also nice.
