so...

I posted this in the What are my Chances forum, but no one said anything about Columbia, or any school really...
So I was wondering what my chances would be if I applied to Columbia for Economics. If you guys could let me know chances for ED and RD, that would be much appreciated thanks!

Honestly I have no idea even though I go to Columbia lol, but you forgot your SAT scores.

ACT score. do they need your SAT 1 score?

anyone know?

think you should be ok w/ just ACT (least I’m pretty sure people were three years ago when I applied), but it can’t hurt to call the office of undergraduate admissions to make sure.

You have a very high GPA, way above average for columbia and a high practice ACT score. If you can get that score on the real test it will be good. By the way what is IB Lit and IB Projects? I take the IB and I don’t think I’ve ever heard of these courses. In any case, I feel you have a fairly good shot. All you need to focus on is getting a good ACT and making your application shine.

IB Lit= IB Literature, i think it’s european literature, but i’m not sure.
IB Projects( my bad, it might not be IB), but we do a ton of papers and stuff. we do the entended paper and stuff.
and really? you think i have a good shot? Thanks!!!
should i show my junior class schedule?

Sorry for breaking in: I would love to know one thing. Don’t the admissions office judge you based on the context of your surroundings?

what do you mean by that

oh and i forgot to say, sorry, i’m white/hispanic (50/50), and i come an upper middle class family. sorry! i forgot to say that

i’m just going to say my junior year classes:
AP Spanish
Projects
IB Economics
IB Literature
IB History
Math ( it’s a weird name, functions, statistics, and trig)
AP French
Physics
Leadership ( during lunch)
and Pre-Calc at local community college

really…no one…

i know it’s old, but i’d loveee to know my chances. bump? please?

anyone? bump
