Hey there, I'm fairly new to CC and I figured this might be a good first post.

Anyhow, my passion is film and that's what I'm (hopefully) going to be studying once I transfer out of my community college. I spent three years out of school; dropped out when I turned 18 and didn't get my GED until I was 21 and a weeklong stay in the hospital made me reexamine my life. So, I got my GED and enrolled in Los Angeles Pierce College. Now the interesting bit, I'm not sure how this goes but...

Sex: Female
Age: 24 (In the fall I plan to transfer)
GPA: 4.0 (So far, with 24 units, I'm expecting to finish with a 3.9 or 3.8)

Honors certified (I will be)
IGETC done
Senator in the student Government
I work at my college as a Teachers Aid to a professor with a disability
I volunteer at a hippotherapy horsemanship center (Teaching special needs children to ride horses, basically)
I presented at the 2010 Honors Conference at UCI (Does this even count for anything?)

I would really love to attend the UCLA Film program, but I know they only accept 15 transfers- do I even have a shot?

My second choice would be CSUN's production option, then USC's film program.

Looking at some of these others threads, I can't imagine I stack up compared to the massive columns of ECs some of these other posts boast, but I'd still appreciate your thoughts... am I just dreaming?
