Socal student who missed the interview. Should I still apply?

I will admit that Pomona was kind of a last minute decision since I never really did much research on it before. I realized 2 days ago that the school may actually be a decent fit after pushing it off for a long time and realized that the interview deadline had already passed. Pomona says that interviews for Southern Californian students on campus are "expected".

I'm probably going to call them after break ends (after apps are submitted though...) if I do apply (and I'll probably sound like an unmotivated idiot but I guess that's all I can do). However, I also don't want to spend too much time working on the application if I've already completely ruined my chances of getting in since I still have 3 more schools to finish.

Pomona's still a pretty high choice for me (not the absolute top but pretty up there) and my grades, scores, and extracurriculars are pretty packed. I do know that that by no means will get me into any school and that I truly need to be passionate in my essays and all that stuff.

I guess this turned into more of a rant then anything, but I'm wondering do I still have a chance? Should I sacrifice my time away from other apps to apply since I still do want to go there?

Yes, I still think you should, if it’s a high choice. Tell the admissions that you are still interested in an interview and if they can’t offer you one, they won’t penalize you for it.
