<p>Doesn't compete with the major investment banks for deals here in America. In Europe, they are overshadowed by the likes of UBS, Deutsche Bank, Credit Suisse, Barclays, and Rothschild. Their sales and trading operations (and the firm as a whole, actually) have been tarnished by the Kerviel ordeal. How are they considered? Not very well regarded, but I guess you take what you can get in this market.</p>
