social dorms

I'm going to be a freshman next year and am looking for dorms where people are very outgoing, friendly, and social. Preferably, I would want dorms that are coed by wing or by cluster (i dont think i could handle the estrogen on an all girl floor). I would like a dorm where people like to party but can still have meaningful friendships. I do drink but i am not into drugs. i dont plan on going greek and dont like the typical "sorority girls"..... HELP ME
here is my list so far:
1. bobb-mccullough
2. elder
3. allison
4. willard?? im not sure, i hear its weird/cultish
5. ??
any input or suggestions would be amazing. thanks!!!

Your list is fine, although don't believe the bad stuff about Willard. It's only as cultish as you want it to be, and it's natural that people from the same dorm tend to hang out with each other. Plus the rooms are really nice, and the res college system is DEFINITELY worth pursuing. I would move it higher on your list because you sound like a great fit for it. And yes, all floors are co-ed but there are 2 bathrooms per sex per floor. Your other 3 choices are great too, and as a 5th choice, maybe put 1835 Hinman, which is a little less social but still a solid choice.

Hinman sounds like a good choice but i am a bit worried about the suite set up. supposedly its bad for freshman because its hard to meet people. i hear its better as an upperclassman thing. do you have any suggestions that are social, standard dorm style residence halls

Well, if you put it 5th it's not likely you'll get it, and I know people who live in 1835 Hinman and like it. It seems like the best 5th option for you. Maybe Shepard, which is like a smaller Willard?

good 1st choice...i'm a freshman in bobb this year and it's been amazing, even tho i'm a music student and have a mile walk everyday!!
