gettysburg college... what do people do for fun? how intense are classes?

I just visited Gburg this past Monday. It is a very preppy school lacking diversity in its student population. As for fun, intramural sports seemed popular. Also the frat/sorority scene is big and the student who took me to her class said that drinking was popular on campus. But she said that there were many activities available for those who did not drink, such as sports, clubs, and campus sponsored events, like movie nights. The class that I sat in on (biology) was not intense at all. I understood everything easily. Hope this helps.

are you a senior this year? if so, was your impression of it enough to make you decide to enroll?

yes, i am a senior. to be completely honest with you, i felt that there were not enough research opportunities available (for bio majors) and felt that the student body was too much like the students that i had spent high school complaining about. so i have decided to attend my state school's honors program (uconn) with a good scholarship. gettysburg also gave me a lot of money (it would have been the same cost as uconn with the presidential scholarship i received), but i think that there are many more opportunites at uconn, a large research university in comparison to gettysburg, a small liberal arts college. feel free to pm me if you have any other specific questions about gburg.

Sounds like a Good school if its not diverse

vinny, are you saying that diversity is a bad thing???
