Hey, I'm wondering if anyone can relate to this at all. I'm a sophomore who just transferred this fall to a new school, yea I've been here two months, and so far life here isn't how I hoped it would be. I'm really active in a club, and I go to parties for that club about every other week, and occasionally I go out with people from my floor as well...but I feel in no way comfortable with my social life here. I'm in a few other clubs as well, which I'm not as active in. I don't have a group of friends I can call and hang out with when I don't have a club party or anything to go to, such as tonight for example...where I'm here on cc instead of out having a good time. Sad.

Okay, sorry for wallowing in self-pity there. I guess I'm just hoping to hear from people who are going/have gone through something similar. I'm not the most outgoing person, but once I start talking to someone, I usually get along well with them. And I'm not the biggest partier, but I really enjoy going out on the weekends, and want to go out both fri and sat nights, instead of just doing something one or the other, which has seemed to be the case so far. I'm a girl by the way. And I think I'm not an ugly one if that matters...and sadly it probably does.

I don't miss my old university at least, so there's one good thing. I just want to start having a better time in college. I know it takes time and everything to make good friends...but making friends as a transfer is a lot harder than ppl make it out to be, especially if your school has no transfer housing/tranfer orientation. I really wish I came to this school as a freshman, freshmen have it a whole lot easier than transfers in my opinion.

How have other people who tranferred in the fall liking their life at their new school so far? Anyone else going through anything similar? Any tips? Talk to me.
