Social life at Boston College vs State school

This year, as a freshmen, I attended a medium size state school in the midwest. However, I have just been accepted to transfer to Boston College as a sophomore. I know that overall Boston College is academically a better school than the one I’m currently at, but I am worried about the social scene at BC.
At my current school, people go out every day of the week (monday-saturday), all of the bars at 18+, there are always frat parties, and the bars are always packed. My friends and I would go out every Thursday-Saturday, and we would usually go to a frat house and then go to the bars at around 11. On Saturdays, we would go to darties all day and then bars at night.
Can someone tell me what the social scene is like at BC? Like what does a typical Thursday, Friday and Saturday look like?

BC will be about the same. It is well know that the Boston Catholics like to drink. That being said, I do not think it wil be much worse than any other college. Kids drink to excess. Its what they do in college.

If can probably avoid it if you tried. Nobody will force you to go out. It will be your choice.

BC is a good school. Congrats for getting in and being able to afford it. Many around here would love to be able to attend but it is just too expensive.

You are going to college for an education, not a frat party.

You will likely find Bc academics more demanding than your current school. Also Boston bars are good at detecting fake ID’s.

Probably going to be quite a bit more expensive to drink to excess in bars in Boston.

You will be starting over as far as the social life goes. But if you equate partying with social life, there’s probably as active a party life at BC as anywhere.

BC does not have frats.
