Social Life at Chapman University?

<p>Hi everyone!
So I am an admitted student at Chapman University and decided to visit it for the first time today. As soon as I stepped on campus, I loved it. It was BEAUTIFUL and, even though they're on spring break right now, I could just imagine what it would be like with students. The food there is great, and the dorms seem amazing.. with private or semi private bathrooms! Keep in mind this is the only private university I've seen, I just came from seeing Cal Poly SLO.</p>

<p>The only problem is, when I checked out downtown Orange.. I hated it. The only thing that was downtown were antique stores, a few restaurants and churches. My biggest concern about Chapman is, what is the student life like? Where do the students go? Is it really superficial and preppy? Is there a secret part of Orange I didn't see? I know there's disneyland and newport beach, but what about closer?
This is a very big con on my pros and cons list. I really love the school, but not so sure about the night life and social scene.

<p>i don’t know HOW I AM GOING TO DECIDE BY MAY 1ST!
i’m also looking at Cal Poly SLO, and CU Boulder, and thinking about studying environmental science.</p>
