I’ve recently become interested in Lehigh’s engineering program and have done some research on the school. However, there seems to be a lot of negative reviews about social life at lehigh.

On this website they say that social life is all about drinking and partying and that minorities don’t seem to fit in. I’m Asian and that worries me. I go to a 80-90% white school so I’m used to pretty homogenous schools, but some of those reviews sound worrisome for a minority, especially one that is not upper class. How has your experience been at Lehigh?
If I was you I would go visit the school and walk around the engineering buildings and talk to students directly. I seems to be very few of the happy students have the time or motivation to be on these sites. I would hate to have you rule out such a great school like Lehigh because of what someone on the internet says. Choosing a college is a really personal choice. Trust yourself, you will know what school is the right choice for you! Good luck!!!
@kikkydee I am going to visit soon but I wanted some insight from current students.
My daughter is a student and would give social life a 12 out of 10. The school has been very aggressive about trying to increase the percent of minority students for the past decade, but numerically is still not where it wants to be. I believe the Asian population is around 8%; probably more of a minority feeling for Hispanic or African-American students.
